About the safety of the toys we sell
As Emily and I began to conceive BuckleyBoo as a marketable product, first and foremost the safety of my grandchild and your children was paramount. While Emily engaged in the production end of our first prototype, I insisted that she ask every question that we could think of that related to the possible safety issues that BuckleyBoo might pose. We collectively decided that we would not move forward with our idea if there were any issues surrounding the safety of the product we were making. The information we gathered on safety were most satisfying and I pass on to you our safety information.
Safety Standards:
First and foremost, the product meets or exceeds all ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) and CE (European health, safety, and environmental requirements) safety standards. Additionally, BuckleyBoo is a member of the Toy Industry Association which is committed to ensuring the highest safety standards and ethical manufacturing practices across the toy industry.
Materials:
The internal chime used in each BuckleyBoo is made of plastic and metal; our patent attorney had to repeatedly strike it with a hammer to break through the casing to get to the inside mechanism. Other materials used in production include:
· Celcon plastic (buckles): a commonly used material in buckles and toys
· Polyester ribbons
· Polyester fiber fill
· Velboa- a fabric used in infant toys and apparel
All materials are lead free and non-flammable.
